Reiki is a form of hands-on healing developed by Dr Mikao Usui in Japan in the late 19th / early 20th Century. It can provide benefits on a physical, emotional and psychological level by helping to unblock areas of congested energy which interfere with the body's innate ability to heal itself. |
 |
Reiki is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy. The practitioner acts as a conduit for the energy to be drawn through her hands to the person receiving it. |
 |
The patient lies on a couch throughout the treatment, fully-clothed, while the practitioner gently places her hands on or above different areas of the body. The treatment can induce a feeling of deep relaxation necessary for the body to begin its healing process. The patient might experience a feeling of heat through the practitioner's hands. It is not considered to be in any way intrusive. |

Reiki Courses
Anyone can learn this wonderful healing technique - the main emphasis being self-healing.
I teach in small groups (max. 4 students) on one-day courses held at my home.
I use the original simple form of Reiki, as used by Usui, which has only recently been discovered and which varies from the more complicated forms of most Western Reiki.
